WhatsApp Video-Calling Feature is now live in Android devices

WhatsApp’s video-calling feature is now live in Android Devices. This feature is only available in beta version of the app (v2.16.80) for Android devices. You can download the APK File to check the new WhatsApp’s video-calling feature in your Android Device.

Some days ago WhatsApp introduced the end to end encryption feature to secure the future communication between the Mobile devices. Now the release of most anticipated WhatsApp video calling feature tells that WhatsApp will update the android app day by day to get new features.

This WhatsApp video calling feature was available in the call icon where you initiate the audio call. If you press the Call icon WhatsApp will ask for the Audio or Video call to make. Right now this feature was available in the beta version of the app only.

Right now it was not confirmed that, when this feature will be fully available to the public. In the beta version of the WhatsApp App, the video calling feature may not work in some countries. So you want to test the feature then you need to wait till full public version was released.

It was not yet confirmed that WhatsApp video calling feature will have end-to-end encryption, and it was still doubt that whether the WhatsApp video calling feature will work in the 2G network in places like India, because still people here are using the 2G network.

So it would be fine, if WhatsApp released the enhanced compression technology, so that the video calling feature may work in the 2G network too at least with low quality.
