How to change RDP Port Number of Remote Desktop
The Remote Desktop Port Number can be changed using the tweaks done in the registry or using the firewall rules. Now i will show you how to use the registry to change RDP port number for the remote desktop. To execute this settings you must be a administrator or you must be a member of the administrator. Otherwise you must have the permission to modify the Registry settings. No other user can change RDP port number if the above mentioned credentials fails.
Registry Settings :
- Open the Run Dialog box and type “regedit” and hit enter.
- Then the Registry editior will open, the you need to go to the below mentioned registry path.

- There you need to find the string “Port Number” after that double click the string and change the port number whatever you want.
